We’re excited to have you back as this week’s LW Babe. What’s been going on in the life of Kelly since we last featured you in 2016?
Wow, in four years a lot has changed! I’ve moved onto my second degree, learnt a few life lessons, changed houses (and boyfriends [laughs]), got blonder (hopefully only hair-wise) and managed to buy myself some boobies (yay!).

What have been some of the biggest changes and highlights in your life that you never expected?
I’ve met some incredible people over the last few years that have really shaped me and encouraged tremendous growth. I got to race around Kyalami Racetrack with a real-life race car driver. Traveled around the world with said race car driver. Helped deliver some babies on call (not as romantic as it sounds, trust me). Performed my first ever surgery (that was cool!), and met people that I know I will have in my life forever.

Tell us something that most people don’t know about you?
I‘m actually such a dork, and a proper nerd. I wouldn’t change a thing about me though. I have been studying for seven years now, currently on my second degree to become a doctor.

How did you handle the recent lockdown and what were some of your go-to ways to help deal with it?
In all honesty, I really needed the break to just rest! But, luckily I was allowed to work back into the hospitals in Level 4. I tried to have a goal every day, even if it was to just go buy some milk. I exercised every day (sometimes twice a day because I was bored!), and learnt how to race on an iRacing Simulator (it’s tough). Also, never underestimate a phone call with your best friends.

What have you found yourself missing the most that you never thought you’d miss?
I really miss being able to see people smile, as strange as that sounds. We’re all so scared of each other now and I miss the friendly smile or nod or casual conversation in the check-out line.

What’s the first thing you are going to do when life returns to some type of normality?
I’m going to see all my friends and finally get to celebrate my birthday the way I initially planned! I’m also going to rock a spinning class and see my favourite instructor.

What goes through your mind when you are posing in front of the camera?
“Don’t blink…”.

Which part of your body do you like flaunting the most?
Probably my tummy because I’ve worked really hard for it, but I find all my curves sexy.

What 5 things are on the top of your bucket list?
I made this list on lockdown believe it or not!

I’d love to go to Tomorowland.
I’m desperate to go to the Northern Lights.
I’d love to walk with the gorillas in Rwanda or Uganda.
I’d love to fly in a fighter jet.
Bungee jump off Victoria Falls.

How would you best explain sex appeal?
When a person just has that extra bit of sexy about them. You may not know what it is, maybe their confidence, maybe their smile, but it makes your heart beat a little faster and your head take a spin.

When it comes to dating, what are your do’s and don’ts?
Phew, I’ve learnt to be fussy because I know what I want, and I have a lot of respect for myself to allow otherwise. But, in a nutshell: Be a gentleman, not chauvinistic. Respect my choices but help and challenge me to grow in alignment to the path I’ve chosen. Always be honest with me, that shows me the greatest respect. And, be able to take pranks and banter… I love pranking my man (shame).

Give us a run-down of a day in the life of Kelly?
To be fair, my life changes constantly depending on what clinical rotation I’m in. I’m either at one or the other hospitals during the day (sometimes on call into the night/ early morning), when I’m not on call I’m at my spinning class or walking my dogs or binge watching Love Island. Sometimes I get to see my friends for a quick catch-up coffee or have a good night out with great people.
