Day job: Flight Attendant, Model and Business Distributor. Soon opening a Fashion Business

Likes: Success, career and food for days. Pizza and McDonald’s is life [laughs]

Dislikes: Dishonesty, unfaithfulness, failure, giving up, jealousy, GBV and bullying

Special talents: I can make dolphin sounds [laughs]! I’m a bit on the psychic side and am absolutely a jack-of-all-trades. I’m a writer and artist as well.

Give us a quick introduction to Charissa?
A small town girl with a big city life. There is absolutely more to me than meets the eye. I have a BA degree in Graphic Design specialising in Advertising and Business Management. I have also obtained my CAA Cabin Crew License where I’m absolutely passionate about Aviation Medicine.

What does a day in your life usually consist of?
I wish there was more hours within a day! I work very hard and almost 24/7 to maintain productivity and achievements. But firstly… each day starts with a bowl of Kelloggs Fruit Loops or Coco Crunchers.
I also like to connect with fans and followers as I want to inspire and motivate others on a daily basis to never give up on their dreams. I recently started the Love Guru project with followers where they can ask any advice regarding dates, relationships etc.
I end the day with faith and Bible studies. One has to be thankful for at least one thing per day even if it was the worst day.

What are some of your favourite ways to make sure you keep your body in shape?
I believe balance is key but trust me when I say this, I hardly work out. I recently tried Tegreen, which is an all natural product, and I nearly lost 6kgs naturally. It’s a damn miracle capsule and fantastic for detoxification.
I’m passionate about TWS – Train With Stephanie workouts. Honestly the best motivating personal trainer that inspires me on Instagram – check her out!
I also believe that Wildcat – is a fantastic brand regarding fitness wear and supplements. I’m obsessed with their brand as a whole. I also dance for workouts and enjoy Zumba fitness training.

Which part of your body do you enjoy flaunting the most?
I honestly had a giggle or 10 here! My buttox for sure, local is lekker with peachy ‘perskes’ these days [laughs]. Even Jack Parow recently noticed my IG Page, and waiting soon for collaboration regarding future business with him. What a lekker and humorous artist to collab with. Can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Tell us something most people don’t know about you?
I think there is a lot of misperception regarding Models, there is more to us all than just a pretty face. I’m actually an introvert more than an extrovert, but can be both. I’m very down to earth and believe in humble beginnings.
I grew up in a very conservative household and don’t drink tea or coffee (random, I know). I absolutely love soft toys and am a child by heart, a very soft heart indeed.
I’m very passionate about people and animals. I have a soft spot for the elderly, children, orphans and any disabled person. I want to constantly help others and this is exactly why I became a flight attendant – to fly, to serve and help others in need. How I miss flying! To think I would have flown now with Emirates if it wasn’t for Covid-19.
But with a sad ending, there is always a happy part. I never give up and never stop believing we are capable of anything that we put our minds to. The impossible is possible and our imperfections becomes perfections.

Who is your celebrity crush, and why?
Cristiano Ronaldo, and no, not because of his appearance, but because of his driven heart and ambition to never give up. Honestly a fantastic role model that inspires so many people worldwide. And, damn, I must say he has got style.

If you had the opportunity to go on a date with said celebrity, what would you like the date to entail?
Wow did you see him with his girlfriend on that yacht recently on IG? Now that is goals!I absolutely love dinner dates and quality time at the beach, even if it’s just with a packet of Simba chips. A beautiful view of the ocean is always spectacular with a picnic. Did I mention a prime steak fillet?! I think I’m hungry while I’m answering these questions [laughs].

What drives you?
My faith and people. If it wasn’t for the support of my followers, my best friend, my close friends, crew or some of my family members, and my cousin Jacques, I don’t know where I would have been today without their support and motivation.
I just simply thank God for His unconditional love and to those who believed in me since day one.

What advice would you give your 16 year old self?
I was a constant victim of GBV and bullying throughout my school years, which made a very traumatic impact on my life. If I could give my younger self and other children advice, speak up, and let your voice be heard and never ever stop believing in your dreams. Never give up, never stop trying because one step forward is a step closer to success. You are beautiful and we should prosper these words daily over ourselves. Because you are good enough.

When it comes to guys, what type do you find yourself attracted to and why?
I realised over the years as I matured that I’m attracted to someone that is ambitious, driven, has respect and still has the belief system of an old school mindset. I love a hopeless romantic person that can grow with me as a person.

What are some of the first things you take into account when meeting a guy?
I believe balance is key. I want a driven, ambitious man that will go the extra mile, that is not afraid to be himself and can lead an example for others. Someone that can be a fantastic father one day and that can love me for me.
I’m quite attracted to a sense of style and conservative man, so respect, manners and some fun is important! A man that is funny is an absolute bonus. I absolutely adore dry humour. I think when you know you will know.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?
Owning a few businesses and flying for Emirates World Class! Absolutely want my own clothing line for sure. And if it’s God’s will, I will be married with some kiddies.

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when we mention:

Sex appeal? Style and neat grooming.

Late nights? Working to achieve set goals daily, because the juice will be worth the squeeze at the end.

Pet peeve? Hard chewing sounds. I’m cringing just thinking about it.

Addictive? Online shopping and COD. Yes I’m a gamer girl and can’t wait for the PS5.

Scary? A zombie apocalypse. My best friend can testify I used to keep canned food under my bed years ago [laughs].

Binge? Netflix series – The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, 13 Reasons Why, Vampire Diaries, Ozark, Smallville etc. Lockdown for sure did me well.
