We chat to SA’s Next Big Thing, Man As Machine – the band currently attracting some attention from rock fans with their current single We Are The Dreamers. They’ve just recently released their debut album and scored a sponsorship with Monster Energy SA. Suffice as to say, the guys that like to play some cool tunes, get crazy (and occasionally naked) are going places.

He’s been rated by DJ Mag as the no.15 DJ in South Africa and there is little doubt that he is king of the decks when it comes to drum & bass. Niskerone performed some epic sets at this year’s RAMFEST and later this year he will once again embark on yet another European tour. But perhaps the most exciting news for local fans is that tonight he relaunches his legendary Thursday nights, It Came From The Jungle at Fiction in Cape Town. We couldn’t think of a better time than now to catch up with him and chat about his career and where to from here…

The end of 2011 saw Van Coke Kartel release their much anticipated fourth full-length album, “Wie’s Bang” and embark on a nationwide tour which involved them playing in several different parts of the country in just one day (J –Bay, Stillbaai, Pretoria, Johannesburg, Cape Town). Could other bands maintain that kind of pace and still deliver a world-class rock ‘n roll performance? Yeah, we think not. There’s no denying that Van Coke Kartel are one of a kind, and “Wie’s Bang” solidifies this original status. LW Mag chatted to Wynand about the new album, band members’ recent nuptials and who is the last man standing in the band after a proper jol!

They’re one of the hottest Electro acts out there at the moment and if you’ve been to one of their live gigs, you’ll agree their DJ/VJ performance is EXPLOSIVE. Not only do these guys get a party started, they know how to party too. Double Adapter (brothers Tim and Dan Apter) chatted to LW Mag about what goes into a live performance, their fans and THAT music video for "Eat You Alive"...

The guys otherwise known as 11th hour took some time out from their recording schedule for their new album to chat to us. We wanted to find out a little more about this hybrid new metal/rock/alternative band from Edenvale making waves on the local scene.
