Day job: Facilitator at a well known Telecommunications company

Likes: Netflix and chill, donuts, travelling and bodybuilding

Dislikes: Egocentric people, negative Nancy’s, animal cruelty and people who stares at you while you gym

Special talents: Does sleeping count as a talent? I love baking healthy treats

Give us a quick introduction to Yvette?
I’m actually quite shy and down to earth. I’m very goal driven, when I set a goal I work hard to achieve it. I like doing things on my own terms, and I’m a bit of a control freak.

What drives you?
Life is shorter than we realise, I don’t want to live with any regrets.

If you could put yourself into any historic event in order to experience it, which would it be and why?
Gosh, this is a hard question. I can’t think of any historic events that I would like to experience. This Coronavirus is already historic enough.

Which era do you feel would have suited you best to have grown up in?
The 1960’s, because of the music legends and of course the music festivals.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?
Besides being fit and healthy, I’ll Probably be at home with my dog. Just kidding, hopefully I’ll be exploring some new country with my husband (current boyfriend – throwing hints here). I’d also like to be a home owner by then. Aside form that I’d also like to compete again, I absolutely love being on stage!

Explain the feeling of posing in front of the camera and what you like most about shooting?
It’s fun yet awkward. I love working with different photographers as they all have different styles. I do photo shoots in order to feel good about myself and also to keep my body in shape, as there are no PRO shows in South Africa for my federation at the moment. Also, I think it would be fun to show my grandkids one day h[laughs].

Which part of your body do you enjoy flaunting the most, and why?
Definitely my back and glutes. I work hard not to have a pancake ass, and I am proud of my curves.

What is your definition of sex appeal?
Being confident and proud. Someone who carries themselves well without being cocky about it.

When it comes to guys, which type normally grabs your attention?
A man that is confident, well spoken, slight odd sense of humour, takes care of his health and body. Most importantly, a man that knows what he wants and works hard to achieve it. I guess I just explained my boyfriend down to a T.

What do you usually first take into account when meeting someone for the first time?
How they treat other people and how they convey themselves. I really dislike people who tend to only have a negative outlook on life.

Tell us something most people don’t know about you?
I’m an introvert and I love spending time alone doing my own thing. Also I absolutely love airplanes and I would love to do my PPL (Private Pilot Licence) one day.

With the current Coronavirus pandemic effecting us, what’s your take on it and what measures will you be putting into place?
I think there is more to the Coronavirus than what we are being told. We need to be less selfish and be more considerate towards each other. The virus brings a lot of uncertainty and that creates fear.
