Likes: I don’t like but I love wine, animals, outdoor music festivals, deep house, traveling, beaching, etc. I could go on forever.

Dislikes: Rude people, cold weather, waking up early and people who say “awe bru” to me, drives me crazy! I mean do I look like an “awe bru” kinda girl [laughs], no!

Special talents: I have been riding horses and show jumping for most of my life. That’s my only special talent because it took up all of my time [laughs].

Give us little background insight into who Tasmin Vorster is?
Well I am an only child who grew up playing outside with bugs and animals. Safe to say I was a major tomboy. Still to this day I really love fishing, throwing a ball around and just basically being a big kid.

How long have you been modeling and what attracts you to the industry?
I have been in the industry on and off since I was 21. I always come back to modeling for some reason [laughs], I guess it was about chasing the dream when I was younger but now I do it because it gives me the opportunity to travel and most importantly, get to live in other countries. Nothing more amazing than getting the opportunity to experience a country as more than just a tourist.

What have been some of your highlights over the years in the industry?
Ahhh, so many but to sum it up, it has been amazing to be part of Fashion Week around the world and see how different the experience is in each of those countries. I have also been lucky enough to be part of a movie in Jakarta, Indonesia and had to learn an American accent and archery. Lets be honest, it’s also always fun to spot yourself on a billboard, in a store or magazine.

And lowlights?
Lowlights would definitely be getting screwed over by a couple agencies. Unfortunately in this industry it’s very easy for an agency you’re working with in a foreign country to do this. However it’s all a learning process as you’re basically out there on your own when traveling. Another lowlight would have to be that when you’re working well in a country, you better forget about sleeping!

You have recently been working in Istanbul, What was the experience like?
My experience in Istanbul was surprisingly good seeing as I was there during the Military coup that happened recently and a couple terrorist bombings that occurred. It’s such a gorgeous city, so full of life and history. It’s an incredibly beautiful city with good people and a strong culture. I love it so much that I am going back in March.

What other cities around the world has your work taken you too, and which were your favourite?
I have lived in Beijing, Shenzhen, Jakarta and Istanbul – each for up to 6 months and then also have done work in Paris, Bali, Australia, Monaco and Cannes, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur. My favourite city must of been Monaco just because of the “wow” factor that city has, it is spectacularly beautiful.

What are your plans and goals for 2017?
I need to get to Mexico [laughs]. It’s my 2017 bucket list country at the moment. I want to be taking Tequila shots on the tropical beaches in-between jobs! And then some normal person goals too, like save money and find out what my purpose in life is [laughs].

What was it like working with Tim Hulme and what are your thoughts on the final outcome?
Love working with Tim! I first worked with him when I started taking modeling serious more than a couple years ago so it was great to have this shoot because we have both grown in our selected careers. I love these images! We literally had one hour to shoot when we came together and as usual he managed to work his magic and get these great images. I dig you Timmy.

Do you have a specific look/ pose that you know is going to be a banger?
No and I will tell you why, as a model or photographer you’re always growing and trying new looks, angles and ways to evolve yourself and your style. Personally when I do a photoshoot I am thinking of new ways to express myself and the mood of the photoshoot.

What part of your body is your favourite, and do you like showing it off?
[Laughs] Hmmm… well if I only get to choose one, just joking. I would have to say that I don’t mind showing off a little bit of tummy now and then, but as a whole I think I’m doing alright [laughs]. I’ve become so accepting of my body, imperfections and perfections alike.

What part of a guys body does it for you?
I’m pretty much a sucker for nice arms and those boys with genuine big cheesy smiles.

What type of physique attracts you?
To be honest, there is not just one type I am attracted to, if a guy takes care of his body and is confident it does not matter what size or body fat percentage he is. Just don’t be eating cheeseburgers every day and skipping gym day-everyday!

If you could change any one thing you did in the past, what would it be?
Deep question LW [laughs]. Ok, I guess I would of studied to be a vet as I always dreamed. But then I would not be here now doing this interview for you after spending the last 2 years seeing the world! I’m pretty happy about the past, it made me who I am today.
