How does it feel to be featured as this week’s LW Babe?
Awesome! I’m super stoked to have been asked. I myself constantly perve over the LW Babes. Total hotties! Good taste!

What are your thoughts on the final production from your shoot with Lyle Simes?
Who is that? Kidding…I’m so happy with all of the photos. It was my first shoot and it took me a while to get the guts to agree to do it, but I’m so glad I did. Lyle is an awesome photographer and made me feel super comfortable. Looking forward to my next shoot with him.

We’re obviously massive fans of girls with tattoos. How did your tattoo journey start, how old were you and what was your first piece?
My tattoo journey started how most of them do I think, rebellion. I had just turned 18 and I woke up one day and decided I was either going to shave my hair off or get a tattoo. I had two stars tattooed on my lower hip by a man who absolutely butchered me (don’t get tattooed by someone who doesn’t have any tattoos of their own, alarm bells).

What attracts you tattoos and getting tattooed?
For me tattoos are self-expression, be it something that you choose to have tattooed because it means something to you or just because you think its rad. Also it satisfies my urge for constant change and to do something slightly reckless (at least that’s what my mom says).

How would you explain the pain and how do you deal with it during a long sitting?
The pain, oh the pain. Tattoos hurt like hell, just some more than others and anyone who says they don’t is a liar and cries himself/ herself to sleep at night. Yes it sucks, like hot needles being dragged across your skin but the pain and process is what its all about really. Getting through long sittings are easier if you make your friends come with to watch and ‘ooh’ and ‘aahh’ [laughs].

Do you have a preferred artist or are you collecting from various artists?
Yes, I have all my tattoos done at Lola Malone on Florida Road by Nic and Dok. Not only are the boys insanely talented and have an awesome style of tattooing but the shop is awesome just to hang out at, rad set up, rad people and even better artists.

Summer is here. Being a Durban girl, what emotions does the season provoke in you?
Umm, “oh crap, I probably shouldn’t eat that if I want to look good in my bikini this summer” (eats it anyway).

What are you looking forward to most this festive season?
Having my boyfriend home with myself and my son for Christmas, and New Years in Cape Town!

Do you have a wild side and when does it come out?
Yes, it’s just in its place now, thank god. That is all [laughs].

What’s your idea of being spoilt by your man?
The usual stuff; tell me I’m pretty, rub my back, play with my hair, buy me pretty things, tell me I’m pretty again and of course all the other sentimental stuff that I’m supposed to say here.

Explain your skimpiest outfit and on what occasions your wear it?
Only he knows…”wink wink”.

What do you consider the sexiest part of your body, and have you ever used it to get out of trouble?
Umm, my eyes and also these things strapped to my chest, and I’d be lying if I said no.

What one touch, smell, taste, sight makes you go weak at the knees?
Cheesecake, and not having to share it.
