Welcome back to the pages of LW Mag. What’s been happening in your life since we last featured you?
Yes! Great to be back on LW Mag. So much has changed since my last feature. I left my old office job and decided to pursue my passion for fitness full-time; started my own brand and company (Toned Fitness), came 2nd place in an IFBB Bikini Fitness competition and am honestly living my dream life.
What are some of the things you’ve experienced, that you never thought possible?
I am so shocked at what I have achieved this year (through COVID-19 and all), I never thought I had it in me to achieve my goals and to level up in the way that I did in my business as well as personal life and in such a short space of time. It makes me truly realise my power and excites me for all the things to come. I am also extremely impressed and proud of myself for still placing 2nd in my comp even after having COVID just 4 weeks out.
What do you feel has changed most in your life and about yourself in the last few years?
I think that I have just become a more balanced and authentic version of myself. I have grown up a lot and I consider myself to be fully “adulting” now… [laughs]. which is more than I can say about myself than when we had our last interview. I am extremely comfortable in my own skin and who I am so I think that’s probably the biggest thing that has changed – I am still the same Jade in many ways but I am definitely a more rounded version now.

If we could spend a day in your shoes, what would we experience?
My days are usually extremely busy; I am a very early riser – I see a few clients throughout the day, get one or two gym sessions in for myself, do a lot of admin for Toned and am always working on some new product or business idea to launch. I usually end off my days with either a cup of tea, a hot bath and Netflix (weekdays) or I’m out on the jol somewhere living my best life (on weekends).
Tell us a bit more about your fitness lifestyle journey and where it has taken you?
Adopting the fitness lifestyle to the extent that I have has been probably the best thing I have ever done for myself in my life, it has been the stable and calming factor in my life when everything else is in chaos. I find that it has allowed me to push myself and constantly grow, it brings me up when I’m in a rut and it keeps me “behaved” (well.. most of the time!), but the thing that I love most about it is that it allows me to help other people. I want to change other people’s lives in the same way that it did mine and by continuously growing and learning about fitness allows me to help other people more.
Which part of your body do you enjoy flaunting the most?
Probably my stomach. I think that it’s one of my best features and I am normally in a crop top about 90% of the time. These abs take hard work and there’s no point covering them up!

Where do you seeing your career taking you?
Oh wow, there are so many things that come to mind when I think of that question but the thing that stands out most is that I want to be one of the industry leaders when it comes to affordable as well as effective training. I obviously have a long way to go… but I won’t stop working until I am as recognised as Kayla Itsines or Alexia Clark – I know those are some big dreams there but I truly believe I am capable.
Tell us something most people don’t know about you?
I am actually super friendly! A lot of people said that I look stuck up or intimidating, but I promise you that if you ever come up to me, you will be greeted with a warm smile and friendly chat. If you ever see me out somewhere – say hi!
What are the top five things on your bucket list?
- Become an IFBB Pro Bikini Fitness Athlete.
- Grow my online client base to 1000 clients.
- Start a charity foundation for the recovery and re-homing for abused animals.
- Move to the US or Europe.
- Be able to work from anywhere in the world.

How would you best sum up your 2020?
2020 has hands-down been one of the best years of my life. Yes, there were many hurdles to overcome but they all forced me to level-up and become a better, stronger and more successful version of myself. I am so grateful for all the opportunities that have been presented to me as a result of 2020 and I plan to make 2021 even better!
With the new Covid-19 rules and regulations in place, how do you plan to enjoy your Festive Season?
I am headed to Cape Town over the festive season and I plan to relax, give my body and mind a bit of a break, obviously jol it up a bit but ultimately get my head right to take 2021 on by the horns! It has been a long year and I am extremely excited for this break.
What do you enjoy most about being in front if the camera?
I feel alive when I’m in-front of the camera; I have always loved it (since a little girl) and I am, in my nature, some sort of an exhibisionist if I’m honest. I love all the attention on me and when I’m in-front of the camera I feel like I am satisfying that desire.

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when we mention:
Ultimate? Success.
Turn on? Confidence.
Turn off? Fake.
Addictive? Power.
Flirt? Fun.
Pet peeve? Hypocrite.
