Give our readers a quick introduction to Emma Jooste?
She’s fierce, driven and unapologetic. With that, impatient and sometimes unforgiving. For the most part she’s living life to the full, chasing dreams and doing a lot of laughing along the way.

How would you best explain your personality?
I’ve been told I’m luminescent, so I’m sticking with that!

What are your pros and cons of living in the Mother City?
The pros far outweigh the cons. I’m in the best city in the world! Tourism, nature, culture, nightlife, adventure, incredible food, friendly people, opportunity and beauty.

For anyone visiting Cape Town for the first time, what would you suggest they experience?
The wine-lands, our amazing city and Table Mountain are a good start.

What drives you?
The fear of not being able to achieve and experience everything that I want to.

If animals could talk, which would be the rudest?
Turkeys. Those guys have such a chip on their shoulders, honestly.

What is the weirdest thing you’ve seen in someone else’s home?
Cat statues…Yikes.

What type of guys makes you weak at the knees?
Humble but strong…oh boy. I’m a goner! There is literally nothing more attractive than a down to earth man with strong morals, a good work ethic and a manly demeanour.

Looks, personality or ego. Which is more important to you?
Obviously personality, he ain’t gonna be a hottie when he’s 80 honey. At least pick one you can laugh with and talk to for hours.

Tell us something that most people don’t know about you?
I’m a home body. I prefer a chilled weekend in PJ’s to a party.

What does a day in the life of Emma consist of?
4am wake up, 5-11am clients at the gym, lunch break, training and admin, 2-8pm clients. It’s a long day but I freaking love it!

Where do you see yourself in five years time?
In love and pregnant. Cannot wait for kiddies.
