Possessing the perfect hourglass figure, we bring you Dominique Wagner as our LW Babe of the Week. Spend some time getting to know her in our interview below.
Full name: Dominique Wagner
Nickname: Dom
Age: 21
Hometown: Johannesburg
Day job: Bcom Law Student
Likes: Dogs, healthy debates, watching F1 (team Mercedes all the way!), helping the needy, conspiracy theory talk and beach days.
Dislikes: Mushrooms, people who are racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic etc, washing dishes and butternut soup
Special talents: I am a little bit on the psychic side
Give us a quick introduction to Dominique?
I am your typical Aquarius. I am very outspoken, blunt, extroverted, independant, humble, lover of laughter, passionate, and sassy. I am known for always standing up against the things that I disagree with. I also hundred percent feel no remorse when blocking a person – my peace needs to be protected. I had my first photoshoot at 12 years old, it was a birthday present from my grandparents. I also grew up watching more Fashion TV than Disney.
What does a day in your life usually consist of?
Fighting with the snooze button, putting on my workout clothes, taking my dog for a walk (she actually walks me), coming home to freshen up, doing my varsity work whilst being very distracted by my phone and then rewarding myself with a late afternoon nap.
If you could be doing anything you wanted right now, what would it be and why?
I would be cuddling someone, I miss cuddles… maybe in Bali though.
What are your pros and cons of social media?
Social-media has opened so many doors for me, I have been approached by photographers/ brands that never would have found me if I was not on there. It is also a very useful platform for activism.
The cons are, I have been cyberbullied, people have complete access to you and it is something that is a very big distraction in my life.
Which social media platform is your favourite?
At the moment I am enjoying TikTok! I feel that there is a bigger audience on TikTok and more potential for growth as it seems to have more of a reach. There is a genre for absolutely anyone, it is not just dancing people.
Tell us something most people don’t know about you?
I was held at gunpoint by criminals, outside of my preschool at age 5.
Explain your favourite part about being in front of the camera?
Once I warm up to the photographer the overthinking stops, and I am an overthinker. For those few hours on a shoot I am able to be completely in the moment.
How would you best sum up the experience of shooting with Epix Shoots for this feature?
Working with Shaun is honestly a dream come true. I have been the biggest fan of his work for a while now. We honestly get on so well, and we are both straight forward people so I enjoy the fact that he was constantly communicating with me telling me how the shots are coming out. I am extremely comfortable around him, he picks up very quickly on if you’re not feeling something, he is so understanding, professional, talented, and gives great advice!
Which part of your body do you enjoy flouting the most, and why?
I really like my curves because, I have only recently accepted my body and made peace with the skin I am in. I have the perfect hourglass figure and apparently that’s hot.
When it comes to guys, what type do you find yourself attracted to?
Ones that are bad for my well-being.
During lockdown, what have you found yourself missing that you thought you’d never miss?
My freedom. To go where I please, to see whom I’d like to see. I never expected it to be taken away from me.
What are you looking forward to getting back to most once life returns back to some type of normal?
I do not think life will ever be the same after this, but I will definitely start making use of my gym contract.
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when we mention:
Summer? Bikinis galore.
Winter? Seasonal depression.
Turn on? British accent.
Turn off? When someone chews in my ear!
Seductive? 365 Film.
Scary? The mindsets I spoke about in my dislikes.
