We catch up with Cape Town based hottie, Charlotte Cullum, and bring her to you as our LW Babe of the Week. Getting to know more about her, we also find out how she’s dealing with the current nationwide lockdown…
Full name: Charlotte Cullum
Nickname: Lottie or Charlie
Hometown: Cape Town
Day job: I’m currently studying brand building and marketing
Likes: Sugar (I have such a sweet tooth), rabbits, adrenaline, plants, the outdoors, organisation and baking
Dislikes: Mayonnaise, mushrooms, spicy food, spending money, liars, tequila and being rushed when I’m getting ready
Special talents: I don’t need much alcohol to have a good time. Otherwise I’d like to say I’m quite creative
Give us a quick introduction to Charlotte?
I’m quite an introvert and a home body although I do like a good party every now and then. I’m extremely indecisive, which comes through into my personality in that sometimes I am a girly girl who loves shopping and other times I am in the mud catching bait with my dad.
For someone meeting you for the first time, what impression do you think you leave on/ or hope to leave on them?
I’m someone who doesn’t open up to just anybody and therefore could appear reserved, however, once I get to know the person my fun and adventurous side comes out. I always try to be a person that I myself would like to meet
What does a day in your life usually consist of?
A day in my life usually consists of going to varsity where I try to convince myself not to get a coffee but get one anyway. Once varsity is finished I go home to relax and then will either try to get some varsity work done or go to the gym (I try to go as much as possible). Then enjoy the rest of the evening with my family, which is probably my favourite part of the day.
Now that we are on lockdown, how has your daily routine changed?
It has and I’ve almost forgotten what I did on a day to day basis. I am trying to not sleep in too late as I don’t want to get into bad habits, furthermore I haven’t had varsity or been able to gym or do any shoots.
What have you found are some of the best ways to pass the time?
The best way to pass time is to plan your day! I make sure I have a list of things to do during this time so that I can relax as well as be productive. Some of these things include baking, gardening, working out (which I’ve found myself to be doing more often now), cleaning, drawing, and playing Sims.
What is one thing you are missing because of lockdown that you never thought you’d miss?
I am someone that can keep myself busy and am a homebody so there hasn’t been a specific place I’ve missed, however I do miss going out to eat (didn’t realise how exciting eating out is), and seeing the world outside of my property. I also miss my personal space, which I think is a need for everybody.
What are you looking forward to enjoying most after the lockdown?
I’m looking forward to going on new adventures and living my life to the fullest! My days will consist of hanging out with friends, being out in nature and doing all the things I used to take for granted.
Tell us something most people don’t know about you?
Most people don’t know that I have bad eyesight and need to wear glasses or contacts to be able to see.
What advice would you give your 13 year old self?
There’s so much that I would tell my 13 year old self, things such as school isn’t everything. Don’t spend countless nights up worrying over that test. Life isn’t fair and it never will be so work hard and be grateful. Surround yourself with positive people who put you up and not drag you down. Lastly I would tell her that everything happens for a reason.
What attributes do you look for when meeting a guy?
A man that is funny, chivalrous, adventurous, and has drive. A man that is mature and takes care of their body as well as themselves.
Bad boy or the nice guy, and why?
Nice guy.I think most girls will agree with me when I say I’ve had my fair share of heart break and am no longer interested in dating anyone who likes to “play games” or has a big ego. At the end of the day I want someone who will be loyal and caring.
If you could live out your ultimate dream right now, what would it be and what would it entail?
To be honest my ultimate dream right now would be to leave the house! However we all know that is impossible so I would have to say my ultimate dream right now would be to travel to a tropical destination such as Bali or the Maldives. I’d love to be soaking up the sun, snorkelling and sipping on cocktails.
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when we mention:
Social media? Opportunity.
