She’s back and looking hotter than ever. We last featured Chanté van der Walt over two years ago and we’re excited to have her back our our LW Babe of the Week. We catch up with her in our interview below.

Having last featured you in 2017, we’re excited to welcome you back. What’s been going on in the life of Chante since then?
Thanks for having me back! Wow, quite a bit! I performed in my first two professional shows and graduated. Apart from being busy with various work, I featured as lead actress in local singer Miguel Pregeiros’ music video “All Day” and got the opportunity to shoot with and learn from a few really incredible photographers, which has opened a lot of doors for me since then.
Have you been through any life changing experiences that you never expected to happen?
While I was in New York after school, I got asked to shoot for the catalogue of a hat company, which was shot in Central Park. I’d say my love for modelling started after that. I also never thought that I’d get the opportunity to study something that I have a great passion for.
Tell us something most people don’t know about you?
I actually have quite a bit of social anxiety. People don’t normally know this because I’m usually super friendly and outgoing when I meet new people.
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
Hopefully healthy, happy and successful. Living overseas with a family of my own, after having gotten the chance to travel the world while working and doing what I love.
If you could spend a weekend in any city, which would it be and what would you get up to?
Paris. I’d love to have a picnic with French pastries by the Eiffel Tower, and visit the Louvre.
What travel destinations are on the top of your list?
Maldives and Bali – Beaches and Sunsets.
Cappadocia, Turkey – To see the hot air balloon festival.
Greece and Italy – Um, have you seen those guys? [laughs].
Los Angeles – To dance at the Millennium Dance Complex.
To see the Northern Lights – for obvious reasons.
What is one of the strangest things that has ever happened to you?
Is it strange that I literally can’t think of anything?
Nice guy or bad boy. Which one do you choose?
Ideally a nice guy, because every girl wants to be treated well and with respect but unfortunately there’s always just something about a bad boy.
What is your definition of sex appeal?
Ambition and Confidence. There’s nothing sexier than someone who knows what they want in life and who is confident in themselves (not arrogant).
Now with more experience in front of the camera, what type of shoots do you enjoy doing the most?
Fitness shoots, because most times you actually do a full on training session, which I enjoy. And sometimes lingerie shoots. Due to my lack of self confidence and always worrying about what other people had to say, I never wanted to shoot lingerie. But, I’ve realised that if shooting with the right photographers in a more elegant way, lingerie shoots can really help with embracing who you are and becoming more comfortable in your own skin.
What are hoping is going through the minds of our readers when they are looking at this feature?
Hopefully only good things.

No matter how hard you try in life, you’re simply never going to be able to please everyone. So focus on doing what’s best for you and your life and not what’s best for everyone else.
What’s the fist thing that comes to mind when we mention:
Crave? Gelato.
Good times? Friends, family, vacations and music.
Hate? Lies.
Love? Whole heartedly.
2020? Success.
Attractive? A real gentleman, good sense of humour and fashion, tall and fit.
