She fit, she’s hot – she’s our LW Babe of the Week. We get personal with Cayleen Lockey and get to know more about this Durban belter…
Full name: Cayleen Lockey
Day job: Graphic Designer
Likes: Peanut butter, smell of petrol and bacon, when my online order arrives
Dislikes: Rude people, apples, mustard and waiting for a machine at gym
Special talents: I can eat my full body weight in one sitting
Give us brief introduction to Cayleen?
I like to think of myself as pretty easy going, always pushing the boundaries and challenging my limits. I am passionate about the fitness lifestyle, and I enjoy doing things out of the ordinary.
Which movie character would best portray your personality?
Probably a minion. Cute but feisty, can’t sing and always so energetic.
If we have to live in your shoes for a day, what would we experience?
I wear a size 3, so good luck squeezing. I’m pretty stuck in my ways so my day is always structured according to plan. My meals are weighed out as well as a set schedule for training. I’m always on the go and always hungry.
When does your wild side come out to play?
Definitely after a glass of red wine.
Tell us something that most people don’t know about you?
I studied a makeup and prosthetics course in 2012, and worked at events making people look like they had been brutally attacked and had missing limbs. However I hate watching scary movies, anything that is a thriller or is demonic, count me out.
You obviously know how to keep in shape and stay healthy. What does the Fitness Lifestyle mean to you?
The fitness lifestyle to me is more than just doing “exercises” or doing what you think you are supposed to do. For me it’s my therapy, it’s more than just the physical, It’s taking care of myself on a psychological level. Although my music choices might be questionable whilst training.
It has given me the confidence and mental strength I have never had before, even if that means standing amongst the big boys by the weight section with my 10kg dumbbells. Bring it! I have learnt a lot about myself from working on my weaknesses, to embracing my strengths. For me there is no finish line, I am constantly putting in the work which has made a huge impact on my life.
What are some of your favourite workouts?
For me my favourite workouts are doing excesses that I thought I couldn’t and setting personal bests. I enjoy training shoulders and legs – such as Shoulder press, lateral raises, leg press and hamstring curls.
Which part of your body do you enjoy flaunting the most?
Most probably my legs. I’ve spent a great deal shaping them and building them over the years.
What is your idea is sex appeal?
The most attractive trait is humour, someone who can make me laugh and is not so serious all the time. Body language is also a huge deal, I like someone who can take charge, has manners, who is confident and always keeps eye contact.
When is comes to guys, what type usually grabs your attention?
Dark features are a real turn on. Muscles help too.
How do you like to spend your free time?
Going to the gym. Or thinking about going to the gym.
If you could tick one thing if your bucket list right now, what would it be and why?
To go to the airport, pick a random flight and go on it. Sometimes life can be so planned out. To collect moments where you look back and say “remember that time we…”.
What’s the first thing that come to mind when we mention:
Photo shoots? What day and time?!
Desire? Push the boundaries.
Cheat meals? Burger and chips, chocolate covered rice cakes. White Almond Magnum. Wow the list can go on.
Drive? To do better.
Turn on? Good kisser.
