We’re back with our 4th Frame Girls feature and excited for you to meet the sexy and seductive Alternative Model, Cindy Pretorius.
I am Cindy Pretorius, age 21.
After picking up a tattoo machine at the age of 15 my dream profession has been to be a tattooist. I did a few pieces throughout High School but I was always unhappy with the end result. Eventually I stopped and went on to study Art and Design for two years. I recently put together my studio, bought all my equipment and busy working on my skills with help from other brilliant artists. I am still young with much to learn, but I am without a doubt very excited for the journey that lies ahead.
Staying fit and healthy is very important. Hit the gym! I find sacrificing an hour of your day will really boost your energy, confidence and mental state in the long run. I spend 30 minutes doing cardio and 30 minutes going through a super-circuit. Drink a lot of water and stay away from Coca-Cola! Those would be my tips.
Of course I am into romance. I’m a complete hopeless romantic. I love the beauty of simple gestures and thoughts; my idea of a perfect date wouldn’t be pinned down to a single occasion. Though a perfect date would be to unexpectedly find a beautiful dress and a note waiting for me at the right occasion instructing me to be ready for a late evening spent under the stars on a deck overlooking a river filled with fun and passionate conversations. I know… ‘Harden the f*#k up.’
People perceive me as one of the dudes, and I can’t really argue [laughs]. I am kind and respectful to everyone I meet but also do not allow other people to walk over me. I love getting to know a deeper side of people though I’m not someone who easily just opens up. I stay away from negative vibes and chase my happiness through every life experience.
My favourite books to read would be biographies about artists, musicians and bands. I have found insightful information within other independent individuals that serves as inspiration and encouragement for my own life choices.
Alternative modelling is a form of expressing yourself and creating art with your body. It serves as a platform for women with a unique look and style to show off their perspective of beauty and work with other people in the industry with a similar vision for art. I’d encourage anyone to do alternative modelling.
