With the 2014 ASP Prime rated Mr Price Pro Ballito surfing event set to get underway next week, 30th June – 6th July, the wildcard entries have been announced.
South African surfers Dylan Lightfoot, Slade Prestwich, Michael Ferbuary and David van Zyl will join international wildcards Tanner Gudauskas and Fred Patacchia with the chance to take on the world’s best in the prestigious main event.
A total of 4 local surfers have qualified for the main event via to their ASP World ranking – World Number 11 Jordy Smith, World Number 24 Travis Logie, QS Ranking Number 28 Beyrick De Vries and QS Ranking Number 74 Dale Staples.
48 local surfers will battle it out in the Mr Price Pro Ballito Tails on Saturday 28th June for the 2 remaining wildcard entries into the main event.
