The Red Bull Loadshredding BMX event recently took place in Cape Town and saw Murray Loubser, who made the most of his street and park-riding skills, claim the inaugural title.
The comp, which featured a jam-style qualifying round, followed by elimination rounds and a final was more of a celebration of the Cape Town BMX scene than a hardcore battle. Murray outshone over thirty other riders to emerge victorious. Nathi Steeze followed in 2nd place with Leroy Mlenze rounding out the podium in 3rd.

Along with winning, Murray was also instrumental in bringing the project to life with a goal of creating an atmosphere where everyone supported and pushed each other to do the best they could!
“It always feels great to help host a BMX event for the local scene, so being part of Red Bull’s Loadshredding team was extremely exciting,” Murray said afterwards. “It always gets me stoked to see the dudes send it.”
