WallRider BMX Vol.1. The brainchild of Rico Ribeiro (EVALS BMX) and together with Red Bull, a reality. This one of a kind BMX Jam took place at the Soweto Theatre, which features a dream quarter-pipe styled structure, that only a select few have ridden. This event gave riders from all over the country the opportunity to ride at this location with permission granted.
Rico worked on the design of the course resulting in a fun and fast obstacle filled park. With such a successful contest in the books, we hope this becomes a more frequent event.
Malcolm Peters threw down all day long with Flairs and Tailwhips across the channel, Handplant of the theatre’s wall and much more to take the overall.
Murray Loubser was hot on his heels technical riding and gnarly air to take home 2nd.
Nathi Steeze and Kyle Kiewiet shared 3rd place, both rode consistently with loads of variety in their runs.
Kyle Davies scored the Best Trick award with a massive pocket air from the quarter into the wall ride tranny.
