Review from Ultimate X 2017 showcasing the best in Action Sports

USA’s Zander Gabriel impressed the judges by skating the big section as well as the tranny section really well. He was also the only skater going up the A Frame, Box and Tranny and tricking them. Gabriel qualified in 2nd but would end up finishing in 4th in the final.

Brandon Valjalo skated super consistent using the whole street section and landing a Bigspin Frontboard down the handrail, Flip Frontboard and Front Shuv to take the win. The not as consistent Dlamini Dlamini and Khule Ngubane were left to fight for the remaining podium positions. Dlamini edged our Ngubane for the 2nd while Ngubane’s unique lines including the tranny section were only enough for 3rd. Allan Adams scored himself the Best Trick win.

A definite highlight as each year the level of riding get more ridiculous with riders throwing down insane tricks. It was Tom Isted and Pat Casey that topped the qualifying rounds. Standout tricks from Isted included a Double Backflip, Flair No Hander and Barrel Roll Transfer. Casey had technical lines down and was the only rider to do them.
