Psych Rock & Roll band The Tazers are releasing Love Machine, their second EP on Monday 27th February. We caught up with members; Jethro, Tim and Guido to chat about the band and their upcoming release.
Give us some insight into who The Tazers are?
We’re best described as a nursery book title: The Three Little Dickheads.
How would you best explain your sound?
SKATERS on shrooms doing interpretive dance moves on a floor covered in corn flakes. Although; Ballsy, Bluesy and Bitchin’ Psychedelic Rock & Roll is probably a better description.
Your 3rd EP, Love Machine, is set to release on the 27th Feb. How are the excitement levels?
Excitement levels are about as high as James Brown was in that viral news interview.
What are you looking forward to most about this release?
We’re looking forward to touring the new tunes, exploring the country and festival jams with all our mates.
What were some of your highlights and lowlights while recording?
“Recording drums for Shake It was a jol.” – Tim the groove machine.
Although recording most of the EP was a breeze, we struggled with the title track for a while. We ended up banking the song and starting afresh. It sounded completely different at the beginning but I think re-writing the song was for the greater good of humanity at large. We’ll probably rework the old one and knock it out in the future.
How long did it take to record Love Machine?
Around 6 – 8 months. We’re not entirely sure. It’s been a work in progress ever since we dropped Time Machine last year.
Which tracks are your favorite and why?
Jethro: Probably Shake It, because it’s a party.
Tim: A Bomb & A Bill, cause it was my baby.
Guido: All of them. I enjoy playing songs I’ve written as well as adapting to new styles.
Can we expect any upcoming music videos?
Yes, our debut music video for the song “Shake It” will be out soon.
Where does your inspiration come from?
Led Zeppelin, Black Keys, SKATERS, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Hanni El Khatib, Tame Impala but mainly beautiful women.
Describe each band member in 5 words?
Jethro: Biggest troll in the world.
Tim: Stage whore with a short temper.
Guido: White shirt black jeans man.
Where do you see The Tazers in 5 years time?
Hopefully not bashing each others skulls in, and touring worldwide. That’s the dream at least.

What’s next for The Tazers?
Once the tour is over we’re going into studio hiatus to begin working on a full length album.
