A Will Rock Solid – the Taka Higashino documentary reveals how the impossible dream became reality for the 36-year-old Freestyle Motocross innovator from Japan. Discovering his passion for FMX at a young age when Japan’s active FMX scene was almost non-existent. Putting it all on the line, he traveled to the United States in 2007 with a dream of competing in the X Games.
Managing to locate the SoCal training facility of pro rider Mike Metzger on Google Maps, he showed up at the door, asking: “Can I ride?” With his strong will and boundless motivation, Higashino impressed Jeremy Stenberg, who soon became his mentor. Taka went on to claim X Games Freestyle Motocross gold in 2012, followed by two more consecutive X Games gold medals and countless accolades in a storied career.
