Sports Unlimited Hells Yeah Skateboarding Jam

On Sunday 21st July, Sports Unlimited Indoor Skate Park in Tokia, Cape Town put on the ‘Hells Yeah’ Skateboarding Jam. This sweet event supported by Monster Energy took a different approach to the normal Skateboarding comp/ jam. The idea of the jam was to get skaters of all levels together for a good day of skating.

Each skater was given tokens with which they could use to award another skater who they felt lay it down, skated the best lines and landed the best tricks. Khule Ngubane threw down hard and claimed the majority of his competitors tokens giving him the win for the day with Jean-marc Johannes claiming the rest of the tokens. This cool new format is a great way to run a jam and to get all skaters of every level involved, at the same time promoting the sport and not having the pressure of a full on competition.
