South Africa’s spinning sensation King Katra has officially joined the Monster Energy family as a signed athlete, marking a major milestone in his rapidly rising career.
The announcement was made during the Gas Motor Show, held in Durban on 13-14 June.
The 26 years old, Katlego Mokgoshi, better known as King Katra, has become one of Africa’s most recognised spinning personalities. His journey began at the age of 14, inspired by his father, who was one of the pioneers of the spinning scene in Polokwane.
Katra has built a loyal following of nearly 400,000 fans across YouTube and Facebook. Renowned for his daring, high-energy stunts and ability to entertain massive crowds, he has established himself as one of the best in Africa.
Reflecting on the announcement, Katra shared his excitement: “I feel like this is the best breakthrough i’ve ever had in my life, and being part of the team finally means the world to me.”
