South Africa Bike Festival 2018

The AutoTrader South Africa Bike Festival, powered by Discovery Channel, returns to the legendary Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit on the 25-27 May 2018. In this feature we bring you a taste of what can be experienced at this annual motorcycle showcase.

Monster Energy will detonate into the #SABikeFest returning with an even bigger and better spectacle of death defying tricks, jumps and stunts. As the sun goes down at 6pm on the Friday and Saturday, the circuit will transform into a mash up of Freestyle Motocross, pyrotechnics, lighting, Monster Trucks, Monster Girls and fire throwing for #FLIGHTNIGHT!

Fans will also be treated to the brother duo of the Le Riche Trial Biking Show as they return hair-raising trial-bike show throughout the day and across the festival weekend.
An exciting addition to the show – One of SA’s top Drifting athletes, Jason Webb, will be joining the performance with his Supercharged V8 Mustang once a day. Together, they will create the most sensational 2-Wheel vs Drifting demonstration South Africa has ever seen.

Monster Energy are also making room for Cape Town based builders Stoos Customs to demonstrate a LIVE custom bike build on a Harley Roadster over the three days. The Monster team have decided to give the one-of-a-kind Monster-cross-Harley-cross-Stoos Custom bike away to one lucky visitor to ride home from #SABikeFest. The giveaway will take place on the Sunday at 4pm on the Monster #BigRig.

Motorcycle riders, enthusiasts, collectors, fans of the festival and their families are encouraged to book their festival tickets early before the test rides sell out on models from our favourite brands – Suzuki, Honda, KTM, Harley-Davdison, Yamaha, Husqvarna Motorcycles, Indian Motorcycles and Zontes.

RocoMamas presents The Custom, Vintage, Classic and Retro Motorcycle Championship. After two years of incredible builds and custom creativity, things are changing up to include more classic and retro categories in the nationwide search for the very best restored, maintained, hand-built and customised motorcycles. The 2018 categories have been finalised and all builders and classic bike owners are encouraged to register as soon as possible to save their spot on the viewing deck inside the Kyalami Pit Building. The top 60 motorcycles chosen will also get two-laps around the circuit before positioning the bikes indoors, undercover, secure and protected from the elements for the full three days for all visitors to admire and appreciate.
