Shortstraw have grown from strength to strength in the South African music scene over the last few months and have become one of the powerhouses in the industry. We don’t know of anyone that hasn’t heard of the band and their latest single, Couch Potato which has been getting an awesome amount of radio play of late. “Cheer Up” is burst into song by anyone listening to the track.
The band have finally released the music video for Couch Potato and what a cool music video it is. Shot over 3 days in the Parkhurst area of Joburg with the performance scene shot at Rumours Lounge. The video follows a typical lost youth, D$tyles, as he trolls around through his day and ends up at a Shortstraw gig where he comes into his own. The video fits perfectly with the song and has the message to young people to get out of the house and experience life. Check it out:
