After another long day of surfing in small onshore surf Day 3 of the 2019 Sea Harvest SA Junior Surfing Championships moved into the final rounds of competition at Lower Point in Jeffreys Bay.
After three days of competition the contest is down to ix Quarter Finals, two Semi Finals and a Final.
Quarter Final number one in the U18 Boys Division is made up of Luke Slijpen Karl Steen and Keegan Mitchell. Eli Beukes, Bryce du Preez, whose 17.50 heat score in Round 3 is the highest of the event to date, and Thomas Lindhorst will compete against each other in the second quarter final. Aya Gericke, Tide – Lee Ireland, Daniel Orpen and Sam Bennie are the surfers in the third quarter final while Manoa Robb, Ryan Lightfoot, Angelo Faulkner and Saxton Randall (eThekweni) are the fourth set of quarter finalists.

Daniel Emslie, Jordan Boshoff, Brayden Bergset and Luke Van Wyk are the first U16 Boys quarter finalists. The second quarter final in this division is Mitch du Preez, Luke Thompson, Joshua Myburgh and Leo Faclier, while Christian Venter, Matt O’Brien, Brad Scott, and Kye MacGregor are the fourth set of quarter finalists.
The U14 Boys who will be fighting it out for a place in the semis are the first group of quarter finalists made up of River Gericke, Nate Colby, Joel Dace and Kai May (Ilembe). Kyra Bennie, Ntokozo Maphumalo, Joel Trickett and Joel Dace are the second quarter final heat while Wulff Erhardt, Evan Spittal, Kai Molyneaux and Julian Carbonal make up the third quarter final. Blake Crankshaw, Connor Slijpen, Evan Peyios and Ben Ribbink are the fourth quarter final.
The first U16 Girls quarter final features Ceara Knight, Jesse Powell, Chanel Shaw, Katie Winter and second round qualifier, Dahlia Argue, Zoe Steyn, Aimee du Preez, Catelin Plomaritis, Carmen Pollock and second round qualifier Chloe Atkinson are the second set of quarter finalists with Kayla Nogueira, Kaylee Shaw Nel and Lilly Mellin the third quarter final.
The U12 Boys Semi Finals were decided on Day Three. Semi Final number one is Gordon Falangile, Cooper Smith, Josh Malherbe and Llewellyn Engelbrecht. The second semi final is Levi Kolnik, Levi Epenetos, Ryan Schoon and Rory Dace.
