It’s that time of year when retro surfing vibes take over Cape Town. Rolling Retro 2017 is going Punk. Taking place this weekend, Saturday 25 March, at Llandudno Beach and supported by El Jimador, Striped Horse, Vudu Surf, Red Bull, VonZipper, Billabong and Hurricane Surf.
Dust off those Pennywise albums, grow a Mohawk, find your studs and accessorize with zinc and lumo, and don’t miss the action. Food and drinks will be on sale from the Lifesaving Club.
Divisions include Surfing, Bodyboard and Bodysurfing with prizes going out to Best Surfer, Best Grom, Best Lady, Best Tube, Best Wipeout, Old School Style Master, Best Dressed and Best Log.
Registration is at 8:30 am with heats starting at 9:30am. The pro heats will go down at 6pm followed by prize giving.
