A BMX riders dream is to have their own ramp setup in their own backyard. Max Evrard who used to run The Riot at Revolution in Festival Mall did just that and managed to salvage some of the ramps after the park closed. On short notice he gathered a bunch of BMX riders to help him move the ramps and set them up…pretty sweet.
Once everything was set up, the riders hosted a launch of the ramp to get the word out and to have a fun day with everyone. BMXers; Paul Soderlund, Thabiso May, Max Evrard, Alex Shapiro, Martin Dejager, Warrick James, Marcel Rowan, Jason hood, Adrian Knoeson, Gustav Borman, Dean Young, Armand koekemoer and Matt Duffy all gathered on the day to session the new setup.
Paul Soderlund threw it down proper with high airs, technical moves and some free-coaster wizardry. Thabiso May pulled a Nothing to Fakie which is easily one of the harder tricks landed on the day and Dean Young’s Caveman off the roof was styling.
Ryan Jarrett was also present on the day and had his chance to session the ramp before gearing up to capture the action and put this sweet web video together:
