LBG’s (Library Gardens) in Johannesburg CBD hosted some of SA’s top Skateboarding talent yesterday (27th July) for the 2nd Red Bull Unlocked contest. Normally a spot prohibited to skate but unlocked for this epic one-day event which saw hundreds of skaters gather to compete and support.

LBG is no stranger to the skate scene and has been a icon in the local skating scene for decades. This was the first time an actual contest had been held there. All competitors skaters their hearts out but it was Moses Adams who wowed the judges and walked away with the win. Dlamini Dlamini finished in 2nd with Khule Ngubane following in 3rd.

Adams recently returned from spending some time in the States and stated that he noticed an increase in the level of skating in SA. His biggest competition came from Dlamini Dlamini who pushed Adams to think on his feet in the final. Adams has now won both the Red Bull Unlocked events which is a huge accomplishment.
