With the 2022 National Motocross season is about to kick-off at Zone 7 in the Western Cape this weekend (Saturday 19 Feb), Red Bull KTM unleashes its line-up of riders.
MX1 and MX2
Tristan Purdon steps into the new season with two red plates to defend. Purdon secured double national glory with titles in both the MX1 and MX2 Class in 2021, and is ready to take on the new season armed with his KTM 450 SX-F and 250 SX-F machines.
MX1 and MX2
Joining the fight for both national titles is teammate Cameron Durow. Recruited by KTM at the start of last season, Durow entered a bar-to-bar battle for the MX2 Championship with Purdon. Having only narrowly missed the top step he gained invaluable experience and will certainly come back swinging this season.
Fresh off his 125cc High School Class victory, Jonathan Mlimi makes the jump to the MX2 Class this season. Having shown immense talent, Mlimi is ready to step up to a new challenge.
125cc High School
Luke Grundy, joins the team and will represent in the 125cc High School class in 2022 aboard a KTM 125 SX with his sights firmly set on being crowned the National Champion.
85cc Pro Mini
Rounding out the team is Trey Cox. Having come painstakingly close to snatching up the 85cc Pro Mini Championship last season, Cox will line-up with more confidence than ever as he chases down the elusive Pro Mini title.
