The country’s top Drifting drivers faced off at the Red Bull Car Park Drift South Africa Qualifier in Durban over the weekend. The course tested the drifters both mentally and physically, making sure they had their engines revving and tyres smoking as they tackled five challenging obstacles.

The unique Drifting course saw drivers make use of both body and mind as the obstacles change pace throughout each run. Drivers had to impress the panel of five judges, including Lebanese rally driver and triple national champion, Abdo Feghali.
Jim Mc Farlane
It was all about the cleanest run with the slightest mistakes putting competitors out of contention. In a tyre screeching final round it was Jim Mc Farlane who emerged victorious as his tenacity and strategy paid off. Morne Venter and Tommie Beirowski rounded off the podium in 2nd and 3rd places.
