Your last fight was at EFC Africa 18 against Johan van Staden with a draw as the result. What did you take home from it?
Don’t leave it in the hands of the judges.
You opponent at EFC Africa 22 is Frederich Naumann’s who’s last fight was also against Johan van Staden with Naumann taking the win by split decision. Does this play on your mind at all?
Not at all, I thought Johan fought well.

What have you been up to since your last fight and have you changed up anything in your training?
I have not stopped training. My coach is innovative and our training is always evolving.
How have you been preparing for your fight against Naumann?
Just like I would for anyone else.
How do you think Naumann is going to come into this fight and how will you combat that?
He has a good skill set and he has already said he wants to knock me out [laughs].
What do you see Naumann’s weaknesses being and how will you take advantage of them?
You’ll have to wait and see on that one.
What goes through your mind when you enter the hexagon?
Show time.

They can expect a battle and me banging my way into the Lightweight rankings.
