ProGrip Fluorescent Motocross Grips

Day-Glo colours have swept the Motocross world over the last year with almost every rider riding with them featured on their gear or graphics kits. ProGrip have come to the party with their selection of Fluorescent grips. We had the chance to test them out and, not having ridden with ProGrip grips before, they not only looked the part but we were also very impressed.

The Fluorescent Orange 794 and Fluorescent Green 801 ProGrip
The first grip we rode with was the ProGrip Fluorescent Orange 794 single density, which we fitted to the KTM 250 SX-F. The grip is made entirely of one compound and gives the soft rubber gel feel which was comfortable and reduced vibration through the bars. The half-waffle design also provided plenty of grip at the fingertips.

All-in-all, a great entry-level grip that didn’t disappoint.

ProGrip release their Fluorescent Motocross Grips
We then had a go with the ProGrip Fluorescent Green 801 Duo Density grip, which we fitted to the Yamaha YZ 450 F. This grip has the same half-waffle design as the 794 but the two compounds of the grip make it so much better. The harder compound of the grip (green) rests against the bar decreasing movement. It also features on the inside of the grip and feels great for some reason.
The softer compound of the grip (black) features on the flange eliminating blisters and on the outside of the grip. It provides superb comfort and reduces vibrations. You can actually feel the huge amount of grip at your fingertips.

The 801 was an absolute pleasure to ride with, the only gripe we had is that the length of the grip could be longer.
