The Nixon Weird Surfboard contest and the Corona Party Wave Invitational are proudly brought to you by Nixon South Africa. Both of these fun surfing events will be taking place on the same day, 22nd February 2014, at Llandudno Beach in Cape Town. A stack of prizes from Corona and Nixon will be on hand under for various categories.
The Nixon Weird Board’s unique format consists of nine of the top surfboard shapers shaping one board each which will be given to the 18 competitors who will try to ride them with class and style while performing scoring manoeuvres.
The nine shapers who will be creating the weirdness are Glen D’Arcy, Eric Stedman, Dave Van Ginkle, Simon Fish, Glen Row, David Stubbs, Thys Strydom, Dutchie and Anton Butler.
The Corona Party Wave Invitational consists of a single wave contest with no rules and plenty of laughter. This video will give you and example of what to expect:
Make sure to get yourself down to Llandudno Beach for a fun day out with some unique surfing action. Refreshments will be available.
