Special talents: I’m a cheerleader therefore I’m super flexible

Give us a quick introduction to Robin?
I’m Robin Jansen from Cape Town, age 20. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport and Recreational Sciences. I’m a hardworking and motivated individual who always goes the extra mile to achieve my dreams.

What are your pros and cons of living in the Mother city?
Pros have to be the amazing people, sight seeing and food we have.
Cons, well I don’t really have any besides the traffic, which is a killer.

For someone visiting Cape Town for the first time, what experiences would you suggest they look into?
Definitely sight seeing and food. I mean if I went to another city around the world that would be what I’d want to experience.

What does the average day in the life of Robin consist of?
University/ castings/ shoots. It’s tough trying to juggle university and the model life but I managed to adapt really fast.

How do you like to spend your free time?
Sleeping, exploring Cape Town, photo shoots or with friends and family.

With studying Sports Science, what does your dream job entail?
My dream job is to hopefully, in the next two years, be qualified and I’d love to teach Life Orientation and be a sporting coach at a school for about a year. Thereafter I’d do my honours and become a Biokineticist.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?
Financially stable, a qualified Biokineticist and living my best life traveling the world.

What is your definition of sex appeal?
The quality of being attractive in a sexual way – I just googled this [laughs].

Which part of your body do you enjoy flaunting the most?
Wow, this is a tough one! I actually flaunt my whole body if that’s possible.

Tell us something about yourself that you think would surprise us?
I got featured in British Vogue twice this year and I’ve done ballet for seven years of my life, and cheerleading for three years of my life.

What advise would you give to your 16 year old self?
Don’t be insecure, you’re beautiful!
