What goes through my mind when posing In front of the camera?
“Shoot , I shouldn’t have had that cheeseburger last night” [laughs]. When posing in front of the camera I’m always a bit nervous and hoping we catch the essence of the shoot in the shot. Apart from that I’m mostly just focused on holding in my tummy and breathing at the same time, you’ll find that a daunting task sometimes.

It’s impossible to not notice those long legs of yours. What are some of the compliments they have received?
Why thank you! Compliments range from “legs for days” to “legs for centuries” and everything in between.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of having such long legs?
The advantage is that my long legs have become my trademark in terms of modeling and I’m always the winner in ‘who can walk the fastest’ competitions. Disadvantages of having long legs are trying to fit into small cars or small spaces and finding jeans is a challenge sometimes.

What are your thoughts on your shoot with us for this feature?
I’m really looking forward for everyone to see it! Being my second feature, it was cool to meet you guys in person this time around and it was a very enjoyable experience indeed.

You are currently living in Nigeria. What are you doing there and how long do you plan to stay there?
I’m modeling and presenting for a show called Fashion 1. Apart from that I’m launching my own fashion line called TEN in the coming month. For now Nigeria is my home. We’ll see where life takes me in the future but for now Nigeria is where I am.

What is it like living in Nigeria and how would you compare it to South Africa?
It’s funny, people always ask me how is it living in Nigeria and to be completely honest, it’s amazing! I have 2 drivers, a cook in my house and a bodyguard, so I would say pretty good. Compared to South Africa, life here is very fast paced and crazy. I’ve seen parties and events here that live up to the Ibiza/ New York expectations.

What is your social and nightlife like there?
It’s a non-stop supply of Moët and Dom Perignon.

They say Afrikaans girls know how to look after their men. Do you agree, and how do you think this statement came about?
We’ll I only have one man and he’s going nowhere, so I definitely have to agree. The statement probably came about with the traditional saying “a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”, not that I’m the best cook but people have come to my dinner parties and survived. Generally speaking I think it lies in the way us Afrikaans girls are brought up.

What things do you like to do when it comes to spoiling your man?
Breakfast in bed, the occasional candle lit dinner and allowing him to hold the remote control sometimes.

How do you like to be spoiled?
Credit card – full stop.

When it comes to traveling, how do you prepare and what things can’t you travel without?
I always make sure I get a good night’s rest the night before and working out my schedule for the time period I’m in the country, and when it comes to stuff I can’t travel without – my Ray Bands, Clarins Double Serum and water is definitely on my top list.

Work hard and play hard to get.
