LW Babe Candice Bettison

We last brought you Candice Bettison as our LW Babe of the Week back in 2014 and, with good reason, the response to her feature was insane. We decided it was time to do a little catch up with the tattooed belter and bring her to you again in a different themed shoot.

Likes: shopping too much, thunderstorms in bed cuddling, training, yoga, riding (horses), coming home, downtime, trainer and heel addict, sun, beach, traveling (too much), fast cars, loyalty and respect.

Dislikes: Fake love and fake friends, packing and unpacking luggage, dicks that park in disabled bays when they’re not, close minded people and arrogance.

Special talents: Ooooh now that would just be telling. I was a pro gymnast, I can still split all ways and put my legs behind my head, and a pro pole dancer [laughs].

What has been going on in the life of Candice Bettison since we last featured you?
Wow do you have enough space to write a book? It’s been crazy, especially the last year. I was in the States then home. I went back to UK and Europe, and the last 3 months before Christmas I didn’t spend one weekend in UK, I was just in and out of Europe all over for work. In 2015 I was in 9 countries and 51 cities. Awesome, but crazy tiring. I am home now for much needed downtime.

Having traveled to many parts of the world, what have some of your highlight travels included?
Going over to the States and staying in California, especially LA was amazing for me, realised its where the work is, for me anyway. Partying on private islands in the Caribbean. Doing Ibiza closing and shooting there. Being invited to the TomTom Spark Launch on behalf of Maxim in the most beautiful setting in Ibiza fully sponsored by TomTom and Ministry of Sound was pretty epic. Meeting Valentino Rossi at the Monza Rally and having him ask me if I wanted a picture was a touch, Snowboarding in Val D’Isere, having Krept and Konan come to my clothing sponsor, Cocaine & Caviar’s launch party and represent for us was awesome. Being featured in a short film for the BBC Christmas Special. So many special moments of 2015, I could go on.

Would you say that you have changed as a person since we last met you?
Definitely. Traveling constantly and being in different cultures makes you grow up pretty fast, especially when you’re on your own. I have been doing this since I left SA in 2003, so it’s safe to say it’s moulded me and taught me so much.

How would you compare your new shoot with us to the last one we did?
Well, one was in a scrapyard with diggers and the other in a Villa. I am the most down to earth chick that has shot in the strangest of locations, I loved both…different in their own ways but one thing is I always look forward to working with the LW team. People forget modelling is not about the model it’s the dynamic of the team from the photographer and how we interact, to the assistant, to the MUA, to the client. If you get a good team your pictures and results show a million times better.

What’s your idea of sexy and seductive?
Besides Calvin Kleins and a pair of Guieseppe Zanotti trainers [laughs], a girl’s best accessory is her smile and her eyes. Always be humble, grateful and genuine. When you’re happy within yourself you will ooze your own sex appeal.

If you had the opportunity to be seduced by someone, who would it be and how would you like them to do it?
I do the seducing, I beat them to it normally [laughs]. I guess Channing Tatum doing that scene from Magic Mike 2 would do it for me.

What’s the biggest misconception about modelling and being an attractive woman?
It’s a lonely fake world, living out of suitcases, ridiculous call times but I still love it and the past 10 years have been epic. The experiences and opportunities I have had, I could never replace. People are intimidated by me, which makes it hard meeting genuine people. Friends normally are not friends they are hangers on. Guys love the idea of me but lack the maturity to handle me.

What’s your recipe for happiness and success?
Do something that you love, spend time with people who appreciate you for you and not the idea of you. The ones who are there at your weakest are the ones who deserve you at your best. Travel and see the world. Normality for me is boring. Follow your dreams and never give up on your goals.

When was the last time you pulled and all nighter, and what did it entail?
There has been a few since I got back home, Cape Town in season is pretty hard to resist when you have been away for months. I guess starting at Clifton one day, then pre drinks, then Shimmy, then somewhere in town, then some mad road trip all over Cape Town with special people, one of which landed up sleeping on the balcony. Then I guess the 4 day all nighter in Ibiza left me man down for two weeks [laughs].

If you had a reality show about you, what would it be called?
Funny you ask that question, my agent in LA is currently in talks with production companies about a reality show I scripted, can’t say too much but who knows. I am hoping it happens, as it’s always been something I wanted to do.

How does a guy know if you’re keen and interested?
My eyes, they are always a dead giveaway. Gently bite their lip when kissing them and of course I will make sure to keep them happy the way a woman should. Good sex at least 3 times a day, and make sure to replenish those lost liquids by cooking for him and making sure his meals are always prepped.

When was the last time you got into serious trouble?
I have to refrain from answering that one [laughs]. I have always been the naughty kid and nothing’s changed.

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when we mention:

Turn on? Good Body, good heart, eyes and over 6ft only.

Turn off? Arrogance and bad personal hygiene.

Sex toys? Which one? I have a couple of boxes of them.

Necessity? Dental floss, make up wipes, collection of perfumes, family, good company and my two iPhones.

Good times? Cuddles and movies, Training and My Sports, my boys (dogs), holidays and Christmas, doing what I love and just being bad ass everyday [laughs].

Action sports? Love them! If I could I would be on a wakeboard or snowboard everyday. I am a professional horse rider but due to a severe back injury from riding it limits me to loads of them. If I could I would be doing it all. Would love to do FMX too but I am already a walking injury from all my sports, not sure it’s the best idea.
