Give us a quick introduction to Anita?
I was born and raised in the city of Tshwane. I am currently a full time Bcom student and a part time model at 3D Model Agency. I love everything to do with style and creativity, that’s why I love creating content for my social media platforms.
What is your favourite pastime?
Editing videos, baking muffins and definitely retail therapy (Sorry, couldn’t choose only one).
Tell us something most people don’t know about you?
I am partly Russian and speak the language fluently. My home language is Afrikaans btw.
What first attracted you to the modelling industry and being in front of the camera?
Since I was a young girl I always loved being in front of the camera. I have a God given talent for entertainment, which I am extremely passionate about. I remember the adrenaline and excitement before one of my dance shows and that’s what kept the fire in my heart alive to perform. I admire fashion and always know about the latest trends, this inspired me to not only be part of fashion but be the face of fashion – That is what attracted my attention to step into the direction of modelling. I mean who wouldn’t dream of walking fashion week or being the face of Dior.
If you could partake in your ultimate photo shoot, what would it consist of?
A location shoot overseas, on a yacht, wearing beachwear, for a well known brand or being on the cover of Vogue.
Where would you like to see your modelling career take you?
I would love to enter Miss South Africa. I see myself as a strong leader and unique individual who will inspire woman and be the proof that women are capable of more than they think they are. Besides that I’d love to get signed with an international modelling agency for example, IMG.
If you could spend a day in the life of anyone’s shoes, who would it be and why?
I wouldn’t want to be in anyone else’s shoes, I love my life. I believe we are our own inspiration and motivation. We shouldn’t compare ourselves with others. Everything we already have deep inside is our potential and we should strive to become the best possible versions of ourselves.
When meeting a guy for the first time, what are some of the things you take into account?
Someone who is supportive and honest, he must have a clear positive energy. Most importantly, a guy should have clear goals and ambitions in life. How will he know if you are right for him if he doesn’t know what he wants to achieve in life?
What is your definition of sex appeal?
Being self confident in your own skin, being healthy and knowing your worth.
What advice would you give your 16 year old self?
Give yourself time to get to know who you are and what you want in life. Never settle for less and fight for your dreams.
What are some of the things you feel guys don’t realise women actually do?
Women don’t say things in a direct manner. Women hint things and men don’t understand hints. We shouldn’t be afraid to speak the truth about our feelings.
Given the opportunity to do one thing your heart desires, what would it be?
Travel the world and give back to women in community. Miss South Africa will give me the right platform to do so. I love people and my biggest hope for women in society is that they work themselves out of difficult circumstances because they are powerful enough and have a purpose on this planet. We need to own who we are. Women make the world go round.
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when we mention:
Social media? Don’t compare.
Exciting? Create more of this in your life.
Binge? Sushi.
Talent? Dedicate your time to it.
Optimism? Be the hero not the villain.
Seductive? Black heels.
