The 2nd installment of the Off The Lip Movember Surf Jam will be taking place this Saturday, 22nd November, at Beach Bums in Tongaat. Hosted by Quiksilver together with the Movember Foundation, this surfing contest is aimed at raising funds and creating awareness for men’s prostate cancer. Seventies vibes will be the order of the day with surfers dressing up and using surfboards from the era to compete with.
The event will host ten 6 man heats leading up to a 6 man final. Surfers will be judged on their creative approach as well as their flow and style. Various fun awards such as Spin to Win, Float the Boat, Vert Alert, Toes on the Nose, Best Dressed Mo in Character, Drop the Wallet, Wave Waster and Best Mo Sista will also be handed out. All this action will be accompanied by old school rock surf tunes.
Action will kick off at 10am at Tongaat Beach. Expect the final to take place around 3pm. All proceeds will be donated to the Movember Foundation. Get ready for a great day out with old school Seventies vibes and all for a good cause. To support the cause and purchase Movember merch click here.
