Relive the insane action from the Ultimate Best Whip Showdown and the Best Trick Contests that took place at Montecasino, South Africa.
2024 and was bigger, better, and more exciting than ever. Over 20 of the best Freestyle Motocross and Motocross riders went head-to-head in front of a sold-out Montecasino crowd as they took to the ramps to show off a series of exhilarating manoeuvres in a bid to unseat reigning Best Whip champion and multiple X Games medalist, Julien Vanstippen.
While every single rider wowed the judges and the fans, ultimately, a winner had to be crowned. Belgium’s Vanstippen triumphed again to retain his King of the Whip title for a third year running, followed by Tom Parsons (USA) in 2nd and Genki “Wanky” Watanabe(Japan) in 3rd.
The Best Trick Right-Side-Up and Upside-Down were claimed by Australia’s Pat Bowden, who recovered from a broken ankle only a week before to win both categories.
King of the Whip presented by LW Mag in association with Ford, Monster Energy, Yamaha, Garmin, Motul, GoPro, playTSOGO and Estrella Cerveza.
