Presenting the official Highlights Video from King of the Whip 2023 – An action packed five hour show condensed into a four minute banger edit featuring the Ultimate Whip Showdown and FMX Best Tricks.
26 Motocross and Freestyle Motocross riders went head-to-head in the Best Whip and Best Trick contests in front of the biggest KOTW crowd to date. A sold-out Montecasino saw 6000 fans treated to the biggest whips ever seen on African soil.
Witness our local riders put it all on the line as they competed for podium positions, and against three international star competitors. Belgium’s Julien Vanstippen returned to South Africa to defend his crown, but it was not an easy task going up against the legend of big whips, Spain’s Edgar Torronteras. The two fought for top honours right to end of the Finals with Vanstippen edging out the Spaniard to claim back-to-back KOTW wins. Local Heroes, Dallan Goldman, Jesse Wright and Dalton Venter rounded off the podium in 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively.
The standout moment of the show was Marc Pinyol (Spain) in the Best Trick contest as he landed the California Roll to take the win.
