Jason Hood Up and Coming BMX Rider Video and Interview

Up and coming BMX rider Jason Hood recently dropped this sweet edit of himself shredding a few Skateparks in the Cape. Jason has some huge dialed lines and tricks in his bag, watch him rip it up and see what he had to say in our interview with him:

Killer web video that you have released. How long did you spend filming it and what did you want to capture?
Took about 3 weeks to make my edit and I wanted to capture some hop over double peg down a rail. Busy working on my 2nd edit and it will be a banger.

Which parks was it filmed at?
Langebaan Skatepark, GenX, SU Ramp, J-bay park, PE Skatepark and a friends warehouse.

What are the pro’s and con’s of each park?
Pro’s – Langebaan has nice tech stuff, Con’s – needs bigger ramps.
Pro’s – GenX nice ramps and wall rides, Con’s – place is falling to pieces.
Pro’s – SU Park very fun mini spine set-up, Con’s – its tight.
Pro’s – J-bay has a nice tranny, Con’s – it’s too far from home.
Pro’s – PE is nice and big, Con’s – also too far from home.

“I want to grow as much as I possibly can and learn sick tricks”

Which park is your favorite to session and why?
Langebaan because it’s nice and fun and it has a little bit of everything.

What goals do you have in the sport of BMX?
I want to grow as much as I possibly can and learn sick tricks.

Which international park would you do anything to ride?
Sydney Australia and parks in America.

If you could compete in any international comp, which one would it be and who would you like to compete against?
I would like to ride X-Games and ride with Harry Main, Gareth Reynolds and Chad Kurly.

What is the best feeling about riding your BMX?
Best feeling is going BIG and landing a trick that I have been working on. Also riding a big tranny is a very good feeling.
