The Recked Industries Hole Shot Glory and Big Whip contest was held at Zone 7 in Cape Town over the weekend. This, first of its kind event, was well supported by motorsport enthusiasts and competing athletes alike.
The Hole Shot contest ran as a knock out series with two riders going head to head in a drag race down the straight, around some tyres and back across to the finish line. This produced some high intensity races with the winner taking all. In the end it was Tristan Purdon who took the win from Caleb Tennant in 2nd and Seth van den Abeele in 3rd.

The Big Whip contest is always a crowd favourite, seeing who can throw their Dirt Bikes upside down and sideway with the most style. Caleb Tennant was on form and took the overall, with Seth van den Abeele following in 2nd and Tristan Purdon finishing in 3rd.

All in all, Hole Shot Glory was a great event and we look forward to seeing what comes from it in 2017.
Shout-out to the sponsors who made it possible, Recked Industries, VonZipper, Fist Gloves, Stance Socks, Firewerx, Zone 7, Boston Breweries, Mash Tun, See Why, Flexfit and Red Bull.
