Round 2 of the 2014 SA FMX Development Series took place this past weekend, 12th July, at The Institute FMX Park in Benoni, Gauteng. A series designed to grow the sport of Freestyle Motocross by offering beginner and intermediate riders a chance to enter a contest suited for them. The series has already gathered some great hype and it’s good to finally see something happening in the sport of FMX in South Africa.
The day saw Amateur and Pro/Am divisions take to the steel ramps and bust out with some impressive tricks. A Best trick Jam was also on the cards seeing riders throw down their biggest moves to impress the judges.
Another great event in the books and we’re looking forward to Round 3 – keep posted to LW Mag for details. In the meantime check out the results and some awesome photos from Round 2 below.

Hi
I would just like to find out if you know of a fmx park with a foam pit close to the Pretoria Johannesburg area?
Thanks
Hi Cecil
There is a foam pit at Nick De Wit’s FMX park in Joburg.
Do you have an adress of that foam pit
