MMA fans are undoubtedly excited as one of the biggest fight cards ever is set to hit the Hexagon at Carnival City next week Thursday, 12 September, at EFC Africa 23. Top contending Mixed Martial Arts fighters from all over the country will take to the cage in what is going to be one brutal night of fighting. 2 big title fights and 11 other explosive fights are on the cards.
Current EFC Africa Heavyweight champion, Andrew van Zyl will take on the Kickboxing and hard hitting Sors Grobbelaar who has demolished his past opponents leading up to him contending for the title. Van Zyl has never been knocked out and has only ever lost 1 fight in his career. This is set to be a hug heavyweight clash.
Michiel Opperman is the EFC Africa Welterweight champion, undefeated in the hexagon and on a eight fight win streak is basically unbeatable on the ground. He will be taking on Dino Bagattin who will be contending for the title. The fighters have met each other in the hexagon before where Bagattin had Opperman pinned down until he made a mistake which saw Opperman take the win by submission. Bagattin says he will not let that happen again. A fight set to be the fight of the night.
Another exciting fight on the cards will be the fight between the undefeated Boyd Allen and Wesley Hawkey. Expect a night full of explosive and exciting fight come fight night at EFC Africa 23.
