DarkFEST 2019 Week 1 Build Update

Sam Reynolds, Clemens Kaudela and Nico Vink are back in South Africa creating magic at the DarkFEST site just outside of Stellenbosch in preparation for the upcoming 2019 Freeride MTB event.
We can expect to see the same line as last year but with two new features added into the bottom – the massive step-up has had an overhaul and now hips to the right, which will send riders into a flat-drop and into a chute down to what is expected to be one of the biggest trick jumps ever built!
Check in with DBNC News as they give us a low-down from the build site.

Between building the riders have been enjoying the flow trail and jumps at Hellsend Dirt Compound, which is conveniently on the same farm and the best way to loosen the body up after sitting in a digger all day.

Some rain has come through and helped with the building, being just enough to keep the dirt sticking together, perfect for compacting and sculpting the lips and landings. The guys made full use of a few showers that came down on Friday and managed to give most of the line a once over and the freshly shaped dirt is looking good already. We can expect testing to start soon.
