Clarkson Hammond and May Live in Photos

Motorsports fans were treated to a weekend of adrenaline filled action at the Clarkson Hammond and May Live shows that took place at the Ticketpro Dome in Joburg from the 12th – 14th June. The show lived up to expectations with new elements added into it as well as the usual and exciting roaring of engines, tyre smoking drifting and an array of exotic supercars.

Clarkson Hammond and May Live did not disappoint South African fans
A guest appearance by Ken Block and his custom 1965 V8 Ford Mustang dubbed the Hoonicorn had fans screaming for more. The sound of that car entering the show arena is something else, and to watch Block behind the wheel and putting it sideways, even though he struggled to on the Dome’s surface, was without a doubt the highlight of the show.

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May were on the top of their game and kept fans entertained throughout the hour and a half show. Other exciting features of the show included the fan favourite Freestyle Motocross demos as well as the nail biting “Moto Limbo”, where riders had to jump through a gap that got smaller with every jump. The section with drifting cars and fire dancing girls was absolutely amazing.

The outside area was also filled with activities for show-goers to enjoy before and after the show. The AutoTrader Suicide drift rides attracted the masses as skilled drivers took patrons around a very tight course, sideways. FMX Red Bull X-Fighters demos took place over the skatepark where the Kimberley Diamond Cup Grand Slam qualifiers were held. The indoor and outdoor motoring zones added to the experience with a host of cool products and cars on show.
