As the we count down the days to Nitro Circus Live in SA the excitement builds to new extremes. The world biggest action sports show is finally coming to our shores in February 2014 where we will experience the best of Freestyle Motocross, BMX, Skateboarding and more.
Inline Skater, Chris Haffey is one of the 40 pro athletes that will be taking part in the Nitro Circus show with his insane signature tricks being performed on the Gigant-A-Ramp. We caught up with Chris to get his thoughts on the South African show:
What are your thoughts on coming to South Africa for the Nitro Circus Live tour?
I’m excited. We’re doing a fair amount of travel with Nitro Circus and I’m looking forward to it.
Anything specific that you’d like to experience while you are here?
I’m not too familiar with South Africa so I’m going in head first. Whatever happens happens.
What can SA fans expect from the Nitro Circus show?
Expect the best of Action Sports with X-Games gold medal tricks and best tricks happening non stop.

How long is the Nitro Circus Live show?
It’s a 2 hour show with an intermission half way through.
What does your part in the show consist of?
Inline Skates. Things that have no business being on the Gigant-A-Ramp.
Explain the BMX to Inline transfer trick?
Basically everyone tends to jump on other peoples shit. I once tried to jump a BMX and went big, I jumped off mid air, the idea for the trick progressed from there. Jump the Gigant-A-Ramp on a BMX wearing my skates and Jump off the bike mid air to land on the down ramp on my skates.
How do you make sure you keep progressing in inline skate?
I’m naturally competitive with myself . If I’m not trying something new, it doesn’t feel right. It’s natural progression.
Can we expect to see the full Nitro Circus crew coming to SA in 2014?
As far as I know, yeah.
What is the vibe like being part of the Nitro Circus crew?
It’s the best vibe. It’s like a giant family. We are there for the same reasons but in different disciplines and we all get along.
Explain the Nitro Circus crew in 5 words?
Craziest people on the planet.
