Judging by the insane record sales Call of Duty Ghosts produced in its opening week, a highly anticipated game is an understatement. Available for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Windows PC and later for the next gen consoles, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. We hooked up a copy for PS3 and gave it to our avid gamer, Twix101, to review. He scored it a massive 9/10 and after reading through the review, we’re pretty damn sure that you’ll go out and get yourself a copy, if you haven’t done so yet.
Call of Duty Ghosts – The Review
So Its always a long wait till Activision and Infinity Ward bring out a new Call Of Duty and all I can say, it’s been worth the wait! When a game gets so hyped up before release its normally a disappointment once you buy the game and the trailers and adverts always only show you the best parts. Call of Duty Ghosts has not done that at all.
Campaign mode starts off with a dramatic opening scene like most COD’s do, but the way they have done the cut scenes are amazing, making the “Ghosts” look like milk and smoke and the “Federation” a dark hard slate tile, coal effect.
After ogling over the beautiful opening scene you are thrown into the battle straight away, not even a breath later you are in space then back into another battle.

They have made sure in COD Ghosts that you will experience every single terrain there is, from scuba diving through the ocean trying to take out a battle ship and dodge sharks to a full battle in space that even the sound of your gun firing in zero gravity is different and awesome.
You start off with alongside your brother as military soldiers trying to help your dad stop the Federation from stealing a satellite weapon station that they will use against America. You then later learn that your dad is the leader of the Ghosts and he wants you and your brother to join the squad but puts you through a few tests first.
It’s a great story line that runs super smoothly through out the game and lets you run at your own pace giving you time to soak up the amazing scenery. Making the game run at 60fps makes it even that much more beautiful and makes you really want to see it on the new Next Gen consoles!

The focus of all COD’s are normally Multiplayer and yes they have made Ghosts Multiplayer off the hook! Maps from Scottish castles to Alaskan villages. Before you get to the maps though, you now have a new character customization system that makes your player even more unique in the game. Facial designs, skin color and gender are all options you can use to craft your own characters, and then you take those creations one step further by leveling them all up independently of one another.
You now to have Squad modes, a feature where you can take your custom characters and turn them into a full blown squad. These you will take and put up against other teams online to see who’s team is the beez-neez, leveling them up to become the strongest team out there!
Another awesome and fun mode to COD Ghosts is called Extinction. Its no more hordes of zombies trying to eat your brains out but now they have Aliens trying to rip your face off. You standoff against swarms of aliens that further on become bigger and harder to shoot to the ground.
Call Of Duty: Ghosts has put COD back on top and have definitely made their mark in the best FPS ever. From the fast pace action in close-courter multiplayer to running through glass skyscrapers admiring the view in campaign mode or stabbing an alien in the ass with a acid dipped knife, this game makes you want to play it over and over again!
We Rate It: 9/10
