Over the weekend of the 19th and 20th October, Surfers Corner in Muizenberg, Cape Town will host the Guinness World Record attempt for the most surfers surfing the same wave at the same time during the BOS Earthwave Beach Festival.
Despite previous attempts to brake this record in both Australia and California during the past year the record is still held by the Earthwave 2009 that also took place in Muizenburg with a record 110 surfers surfing the wave.
The festival will feature a wide range of both fun and competitive events on the beach and in the ocean throughout the weekend. The Muizenburg warm water, gentle rollers and perfect beach has rated the beach town as one of the world’s top 20 which gives even more reason to check out this already amazing festival.
