The 3rd installment of the Billabong Junior Surfing Series will be going down this weekend, 24th and 25th August, ay Long Beach in Kommetjie, Cape Town. SA top junior surfers will be competing for series points as well as prize money which is a total of R750 000 for the series.
There will be opportunities for surfers from different age groups to qualify for the U20 division which is 3A PST rated. Finalists from the U18 and U16 boys will compete for limited slots into the U20 division. The U18 girls will also have the opportunity to qualify for the U20 girls division.
All Aboard Travel will be giving away a trip to Bali worth R17 000 as a Sportsmanship Award to the surfer who best displays sportsmanship over the series.
The Surfer of the Series Award is sponsored by BOS and is cash and prizes worth R20 000.
VonZipper is sponsoring the Flair Up Award.
Dakine is sponsoring he Youthful Movement Award.
Nixon is sponsoring the Winner Takes All Award which will be awarded to the surfer that shores the highest heat score.
Sony will be giving away and array pf prizes to the division winners.
