Billabong Junior Surfing Series Finale

The final event of the Billabing Junior Surfing Series will be taking place this weekend, 21st September – 23rd September at Seal Point in Cape St Francis. Presented by BOS, this is one junior surfing finale you don’t want to miss.

The country’s top junior surfers will all be competing for top honors in their respective divisions. SA’s premier junior surfing series has a massive R750 000 in prizes and cash up for grabs.

Max Elkington has dominated the U12 Boys division and has won all 3 of the previous event in the series. Saxton Randall and Angelo Faulker will be battling it out in the final round as they have both posted great result leading up to this point.

Adin Masencamp is in the lead in the U14 Boys Division with Jose Faulkner and Ethan Fletcher fighting for point behind him coming into this final round.

In the U14 Girls division there is a battle for points between Sophie Bell and Kai Woolf, who at the moment has a slight lead. Still within striking distance is Olivia Izzard who is currently in 3rd place.

Jordan Maree has a solid lead going into the final round in the U16 Boys division with Tim Baard in 2nd and Ntando Msibi in 3rd.

Chanelle Botha is leading the U18 Girls division with 3 contest wins under her belt already. Tahra Uren and Gina Smith are fighting it out for the 2nd and 3rd spot.

Very little is separating Josh Smit and Max Armstrong in the U18 Boys division which makes things that much more exciting for this final.

In the U20 Girls division, Heidi Palmboom has the lead with Emma Smith hot of her heels. Chanelle Botha is lying in 3rd.

Favourite, Mikey February is in the lead due to posting great results in all 3 previous events of the premier U20 Boys division. He is followed by Mikey Venter and Jarred Valdhuis in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

There are a number of specialty awards on hand as well:

-BOS Surfer Of The Series award.
-All Aboard Travel Sportsmanship Award
-The DaKine Youthful Movement Award
-The VonZipper Flair Up Award
-The Nixon WTA (Winner Takes All)
